Our meeting theme is "Seeds and Change" |
Seed ecophysiology: The changes in dormancy and germination status that seeds themselves undergo, and how these changes are regulated. |
Seed evolutionary ecology: The bigger picture of how seeds have changed in response to natural selection over short to very long time scales. |
Seed community ecology: Seed responses to environmental change whether through germination, seed bank persistence or dispersal. Dynamic relationships with dispersers, predators, pathogens and other plant species are also included. |
Seed restoration and conservation ecology: The pivotal role played by seeds in human efforts to restore damaged ecosystems and stem biodiversity loss in the face of global climate change and other threats. |
